Junchao Gu is a highly motivated and passionate software engineer with a love for new and cool technologies. Prior to joining Stripe, he was a Senior Software Engineer at ByteDance, where he led various projects such as designing and implementing mass message sending feature for Helpdesk with great reliability and high throughput, resulting in a 40% increase in WAU of Helpdesk. He also led the implementation of user direct feedback project and managed task allocation and timeline, and developed both FE and BE for the project. Junchao also worked as a Software Engineer at Pro Unlimited @ Facebook, where he re-designed and implemented email case processing, resulting in great improvement in code maintainability and received great feedback from manager and peers. He also migrated part of the web app to SPA for responsiveness and user-friendliness using React and React Router. Junchao holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He is skilled in Software Engineering, Javascript, Data Engineering, Python, ReactJS, VueJS, and Web development.
