Kaivan Shah is a graduate student pursuing his Master's degree in Computer Science at North Carolina State University, with a keen interest in the intersection of technology and business. He has a diverse background in both business analysis and software development, having previously worked as a Business Analyst with Dell Technologies on their Pricing Team. During his time at Dell, he strategized and came up with price points for the Commercial Segment of Dell Products and also executed those strategies to get them into effect in real-time. Additionally, he worked on a project with the Decision Sciences Team to develop a model to check the genuineness of a request made by a customer requesting a refund or a rebate, which has been filed for a patent in the US-PTO. Kaivan pursued his Bachelor's in Information Technology from Manipal Institute of Technology in India, where he had an opportunity to do an internship with a Fintech company in Bratislava, Slovakia. He built APIs for a cloud platform which could be used by 3rd parties, and also got the experience of working in a cross-cultural team. Kaivan has also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with North Carolina State University and as an IT Consultant and Software Developer with Industrial Engineering Syndicate (INENSY). Currently, Kaivan is working as a Software Developer Intern with Hitachi Energy. He is a Software Engineer and Research Scientist with 1.52 years of relevant experience. In his free time, he likes to listen to podcasts and read books about businesses. He is always eager to research how technology can be put to use to solve various business problems.
