Kalyane Anand is a seasoned leader with over 16 years of professional experience in RF HW/ RF SW/ RF Divers/ Modem Cellular technology development and validation. Currently, he is working as a Sr Staff Manager for RFIC, RFFE and mmW Application Engineering at Qualcomm, where he leads a highly motivated team of 20+ RF Engineers responsible for commercializing Qualcomm RF products across verticals such as Mobile, Compute, automotive, IIOT, IOT wear, and MBB. His team is responsible for commercializing multi-RAT 4G RFIC to the latest multi-RAT 5G RFIC. Kalyane has a strong background in Test, Product, SW Development in Wireless Technologies 2G,3G,4G and 5G. He has expertise in managing large organizations and cross-functional project teams across the USA, India, France, Germany, China, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam. He has also managed multiple Tier 1-Tier 3 Customer relationships across business units like Mobile, Compute, Automotive, etc. In his previous role at Intel, Kalyane built an organization of 30+ Engineers from zero. His teams contributed across the development of RF Production tools, Post SI System Validation, and RF FW CI. He also developed the vendor eco-system for RF validation activities. Kalyane has overseen multimillion-dollar budgets for teams to establish labs and contributed to multiple programs across multiple sites. He has improved RF validation strategy to save Capex spending and faster TAT for the post SI test, leveraged his expertise to convert field issues and other use cases to lab tests. Kalyane has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra. He has experience in project and resource planning, requirement analysis, risk analysis, mitigation, system requirement including scaling up vendor ecosystem and OEM management. He has also influenced next-generation 5G RFIC features, RFFE features across scaled verticals and leveraged his leadership to address specific use cases from different business units to influence reference designs and RFIC features.
