Kamal Nayan is a result-driven software engineer with almost a decade of experience in web development and cybersecurity. He is an enthusiastic polyglot developer with exceptional skills in fostering personal relationships, developing communities, and evangelizing technology. Kamal is also an effective teacher, instructor, and mentor in all aspects of software development. Currently, Kamal works as a Software Engineer III at f5, where he is part of the WAF (security) team. He is responsible for control plane development, ensuring the security of the company's web applications. Previously, Kamal worked as a Senior Software Engineer at SAP, where he was part of the Cloud Engineering Services team of SAP Ariba. There, he standardized the way classpath is set in apps, added plug-n-play pagination support in ops page for the expandos, and assisted DBA in setting up OrientDB monitoring and backup scripts, among other accomplishments. Kamal also has experience working as a Senior Software Engineer at GlobalLogic, where he was part of the team that worked with zappos.com, an Amazon subsidiary, and one of the leading eCommerce companies in Nevada, US. There, he implemented a multithreaded framework for scripts, automated the return label pdf generation process, and created various POCs to attract more clients. Kamal holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Punjab Technical University. He is proficient in various technologies such as Jenkins, Python, MySQL, AWS, Django, and more. Kamal is also a security researcher and author, having written a "Cybersecurity Awareness" whitepaper that earned him a bronze award. In addition to his technical expertise, Kamal is also a stand-up comedian and enjoys giving enthusiastic technical presentations. He is passionate about developing communities and giving back to society, as evidenced by his CSR activities in SAP Ariba and his participation in mass walks and flood relief efforts.
