Kamlesh Kalasariya is a final year student pursuing a BT-MT in Materials Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur. He is an ML enthusiast and has interned as a Software Developer at Nerdnerdy. Kamlesh has achieved the Code Ninja tag on InterviewBit and has solved 350+ problems on Leetcode in the data structure and algorithms domain. He is interested in back-end web development and competitive programming and wants to explore domains like Software development and Machine learning. Kamlesh is very enthusiastic about solving problems with different approaches and is dedicated to learning new things. At Nerdnerdy, Kamlesh collaborated with a team of 6 members to implement user interaction using AWS lambda and Dynamodb. He explored statistical approaches and npm modules to find text similarity score using keyword matching. Kamlesh designed an Ad selection algorithm based on word2vec and cosine similarity in Node.js environment. He also developed the frontend script that generates Ads from recent user activities using Angular and Bootstrap. Kamlesh fixed bugs and added new features on the Advertiser platform to filter more accurate Ads for a user. In the past, Kamlesh has worked as a Coordinator at Taekwondo Club IIT Kanpur, where he led a club of 40 active members, 90 CPA students, and 30 children with an overall budget of 1.2 lakhs. He initiated the idea of Taekwondo online classes during Covid-19 and was also responsible for the successful conduction of regular classes. Kamlesh has also worked as a Team Head at Team AUV-IITK, where he spearheaded a team of 6 students to design and simulate an underwater autonomous vehicle to participate in competitions. The team secured a 3rd position in Website and 8th position in Hull Design in RoboSub’21 organized by AUVSI at San Diego. Kamlesh's education history includes a BT-MT (Dual Degree) from IIT Kanpur, which he is expected to complete in December 2023.
