Kamran Ahmad is a Senior Software Engineer at Citrix with over 9 years of relevant experience in building products and working with global brands across the UK and APAC. He is primarily a backend engineer who has expertise in Python APIs along with technologies like Elasticsearch, Docker, Rabbit MQ, MySQL, and Memcached. At Citrix, Kamran works on scaling and securing the Podio API, which gets over 120 million requests a day. He is responsible for contributing to design and architecture decisions to ensure successful delivery of projects. Prior to Citrix, Kamran worked as a Python lead at PwC, where he built an NLP enabled text analytics platform for analyzing unstructured data. He was responsible for the Python backend and the AWS suite. Kamran's experience as a Certified Scrum Master has enabled him to work effectively in agile teams. He is adept at conducting technology training sessions and has done so across PwC UK and India offices. Kamran is also a prolific writer who writes technical blogs on Medium for "Towards Data Science" & "Better Programming". He also contributes to Stack Overflow (top 8% this year). Kamran is a graduate of Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from BIT.
