Kanika Modi is a forward-thinking Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience in the industry. She is currently working as a Software Development Engineer 2 at Amazon, where she is a part of the PayStation Events & Analytics Team. Her work involves creating a real-time event and query system for pay stations. She is also a part of the AFT Identity Team, where she worked on a global externalized Federated Identity Broker that uses OIDC protocol and consolidates Authentication for 30MM/month entities across Amazon Fulfillment Network. Additionally, she launched the FC Menu externalized application which uses Mutual-TLS based authentication and is used in Amazon warehouses to perform the tools for day-to-day activity by the 20k+ associates. Kanika is skilled in directing development with an innovative, customer-focused, and performance-oriented approach. She has worked on various projects during her time at Amazon, including leading a technical team of 6 SDEs and 2 QAEs to design and develop tech solutions to launch core Retail tools to India merchants at large scale, building tech solutions that empower selling partners to improve operational efficiency and grow sustainably, and designing and deploying a novel generic operational excellence tool to receive real-time alerts using application logs.
