Kanika Tayal is a dynamic Data Scientist with a passion for exploring different domains and understanding the role of Analytics in diverse sectors. She holds an MSc. in Statistics from Hindu College, University of Delhi, and has a relevant experience of 1.78 years. Kanika has worked as an Intern at RBS (now NatWest) and as a Data Analyst Trainee at Dharampal Premchand Limited (DPPCL), where she analyzed past data and developed a projection of P&L and Balance Sheet using ratio analysis. Kanika's journey as a Data Scientist started with her internships in various sectors, including Finance and investments, FMCG, and Banking. These internships helped her understand the importance of basics and deepen her understanding of statistical concepts. She even co-authored a book titled “A beginner’s guide to First Data Analysis Project using Linear Regression in R” to explain all the steps of Exploratory Data Analysis and Linear Regression. Due to the unprecedented situations caused by Covid-19, Kanika understands the difficulties faced by students in preparing for placements this year. Hence, with all the experience that she has gained, she is helping students via campussecorporate. Currently, Kanika is working as a Data Scientist at HDFC Bank, where she looks forward to having a great journey. Kanika's tech stack includes Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Python, NLP, ML, Computer Vision, and SQL. She is a go-getter who is always eager to learn and explore new domains.
