Kanishk Vishwakarma is a senior undergraduate student majoring in Mechanical Engineering at BITS Pilani. He is a specialist in computer vision, planning, and control for mobile robots. His bachelor's thesis at IIIT Hyderabad's Robotics Research Center focused on developing vision and voice-automated robots. Kanishk has an impressive track record in the field of robotics. He has led the autonomous navigation subsystem at Sally Robotics and researched and published on autonomous drones at CEERI. He also helped build a Mars rover with CRISS Robotics as a software system engineer. Kanishk has also helped Intelligent Mobility Labs with robotic state estimation & autonomous navigation and integrated their codebases from the perception and the self-driving AI team. Kanishk is currently working as a Robotics Researcher at IIIT Hyderabad. He has previously worked as a System Software Engineer and Robotics Engineer at CRISS Robotics, where he was responsible for shifting the codebase from native Linux to portable Docker, managing software-hardware interface, and working on robotic path planning & motion planning, control systems, and perception. Kanishk has a strong educational background and is expected to graduate in December 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
