Kanishka Garg is an experienced Engineering Manager at Amazon with a passion for building and leading engineering teams. He has a proven track record of building highly available, performant, secure, scalable, resilient, cost-effective, and maintainable services and systems. Kanishka is an expert in technical leadership, experimentation platforms, event-driven and message-driven architectures, software design & architecture, distributed computing, streaming architectures, microservices, serverless (Lambda), decentralized computing/blockchain, cloud computing, and web crawling. Kanishka has hired, guided, developed, and promoted multiple Software Development Engineers (SDEs). Kanishka has also held the position of Software Development Engineer III at Amazon, where he led the development, growth, and operational excellence of a state-of-the-art experimentation platform to boost the bottom line for Amazon's Consumables org. He joined this team as an SDE and eventually transitioned to an SDM role, where he led a team of 5 SDEs to build services and products that delight customers. Kanishka holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from the University of Illinois and a B.Tech (Hon's) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from LNMIIT. His tech stack includes software engineering, microservices, blockchain, decentralized computing, big data, product management, ETL, and web technologies.
