Kanishka Khaitan is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Vymo, a leading provider of mobile-first sales automation solutions. With over 11 years of experience in software engineering, Kanishka is a skilled professional with expertise in client-server based network programming using TCP/IP. He is proficient in multiple programming languages including C, C++, Python, Ruby, Gofer, Assembly(8086), PHP, and HTML. Kanishka's experience spans across various operating systems such as Linux and Windows Vista. He has worked with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle, and has experience with tools and applications such as make, gcc, gdb, emacs, Microsoft Office 2007, Openoffice.org, nCurses, irrlicht, irrKLang, flex, bison, Apache web server, Apache Tomcat, ImageMagick, RMagick, Phusion Passenger, Sinatra, and Apache Jmeter. At Vymo, Kanishka has been instrumental in designing and implementing a distributed caching solution using Aerospike to reduce overall latency of the homepage. He has also designed an end-to-end self-serve BI tool on top of Metabase to provide standard analytics dashboards for onboarding a client. Prior to this, he worked as a Tech Lead at Vymo, where he gained experience in building scalable and robust software solutions. Kanishka has also volunteered as a Technical Consultant for Kitablet, an e-library for children from grade 1-8 to encourage early reading and help them think and reflect in an enjoyable and meaningful manner. He reviewed the project's architecture to ensure scalability, robustness, and maintainability of the software. Kanishka holds a Master of Computer Applications degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Banaras Hindu University. He also attended St. John's Marhauli for his schooling. Kanishka is a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in PHP, MySQL, web development, Python, and Ruby.
