Kapil Agarwal is a highly skilled software engineer with 3.35 years of experience in the field. He is currently working as a Software Engineer III at Google, where he is involved in developing innovative solutions to make online shopping more accessible to Indians through simsim/YouTube. Kapil started his career as an intern at Flipkart, where he created an end-to-end pipeline to extract account numbers and seller names from a cheque image using machine learning and image processing heuristics. He used technologies such as Python, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit, and JavaScript to accomplish this task. Later, Kapil worked at Arcesium as a Senior Member Technical, where he launched a webapp that allows quants to interactively analyze option trades by aggregating and displaying data using a highcharts based graphing library. He also automated trader workflows using command center tasks and improved developer productivity across the team by initiating various infra projects such as smart report formatting tools, static code checkers, etc. He used technologies such as Python, JavaScript, React, Redux, Express, and Node to accomplish these tasks. Kapil is a graduate of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and a Master of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General.
