Kapil Bansal is an experienced Python Developer with a passion for coding and a demonstrated history of working in the internet industry. He is currently a Software Developer at Amazon and a GSoC'21 Student at OpenWiSP. Kapil has also served as an OS Leader'21 at AnitaB org and has worked as a Django Developer. Kapil's interest in computers began during his school days, and he has worked with various programming languages such as Basic HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Java, C, and Python. He has a good understanding of Data Structures and has attained world rank 43 on HackerEarth in 2019. Kapil has participated in various coding competitions like Google KickStart, CodeJam, and TCS CodeVita. Kapil is an advocate of Open Source Development and has some real-world development experience in this area. He is passionate about motivating and helping other students to contribute to open source projects. Kapil has managed and volunteered for several events in the past and is currently volunteering at AnitaB-org as an O.S. Leader. In his current role as a Developer at OpenWiSP, Kapil has diagnosed important bugs and issues in multiple Django and OpenWRT modules. He has made improvements, written tests, and reviewed pull requests during the release cycle. Kapil has also worked as a Sofware Development Engineer - Intern at Trell, where he analyzed customer engagement data using various stats collected from BigQuery and implemented data engineering solutions using cron jobs, Kafka, and BigQuery. Kapil has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from G.B. Pant Govt. Engineering College. He also completed his Senior Secondary education from The Cambridge International School.
