Kapil Bodkhe is an accomplished Engineering Leader at Cisco with over 14 years of experience in the software development industry. He has a strong academic background and is a confident leader with a versatile skill set. Kapil has hands-on technical experience as well as personnel leadership experience in both large enterprises and start-ups. He has worked with cross-cultural teams across different geographies, including the U.S., India, Europe, and China. Currently, Kapil is leading a team of engineers and technical leaders working on various Cloud initiatives within Cisco. He has also worked as an Engineering Manager at Cisco, leading a team of engineers working on the various building blocks of the Cisco CloudCenter platform. During his tenure, he led the design, development, and test efforts for the major architectural changes in the product and collaborated with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Prior to Cisco, Kapil worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Cliqr Technologies (acquired by Cisco), where he led a team of developers in the successful delivery of several projects. He also designed and developed various building blocks of the application-defined cloud management platform to model, deploy, and manage applications across bare metal, virtualized, and container environments. Kapil's educational background includes an Engineering Leadership Certificate and a Leadership Essentials Certificate from Cornell University. He also holds a Master of Engineering degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Indian Institute of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Mumbai University. He completed his high school education with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Electronics from Somalwar High School. On a personal front, Kapil is a passionate long-distance runner and has run marathons all across the globe. His technical skills include Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and test. With his diverse experience and leadership skills, Kapil is a valuable asset to any organization.
