Kapil Jain is an Associate Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase & Co. with a passion for virtual and augmented reality. He founded his own company, Icarus Innovations, where he developed first-of-its-kind web-based AR/VR products for various industries, including the AR promotion of the movie 'Thackeray - The Film'. Despite being only a year old, the company filed a provisional patent for a cutting-edge deep learning-based pothole detection system. Kapil has experience working as a Full Stack Developer in two startups, where he gained proficiency in web technologies such as Flask, Node.js, React.js, three.js, D3.js, PHP, and databases like Redis, MySql, MongoDB, and Firebase. He led product development from scratch to deployment for every project, enhancing his managerial and technical skills. Starting his career with JPMorgan Chase & Co., Kapil developed RESTful APIs for Front office to get Greek values of trading instruments. He was selected for winning the JP Morgan Chase Hackathon, which was a 24-hour hackathon for creating a product for an NGO. Currently, Kapil works as a Software Engineer at BrowserStack, part of the Desktop Platform Team working on maintaining more than 2000+ Mac Machines and 5000+ Window Machines. He has worked on automation of deploys and scripts to maintain the Cloud Infrastructure for Testing. Kapil has also worked as a Project Consultant at Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay, where he worked on a project for the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. He displayed information of various artifacts, paintings, scripts, etc. with images on an interactive 3D Map of India in a web environment. Kapil has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai and has 5.78 years of relevant experience. His tech stack includes software engineering, testing, JavaScript, web development, infrastructure, deep learning, Redis, PHP, MySQL, MongoDB, Flask, NodeJS, ReactJS, and ML.
