Kapil Jawa is a Vice President and Senior Global Operating Leader for Banking and Capital Markets at Genpact. With over 22 years of relevant experience, he is responsible for managing the delivery of analytics, research, and financial crime processes. Kapil has been instrumental in setting up, transitioning, and piloting varied processes for Corporate Banking, Commercial Lending, and Investment Banking clients at Genpact since 2005. Kapil has a strong customer focus and has frequent, high-level interactions with very senior customers, including CXOs like Chief Risk Officers, Chief Financial Officers, and Marketing leaders. He is experienced in managing and front-ending complex processes, developing cutting-edge business strategies and solutions, and has the ability to energize teams and build loyalty and commitment, reflected by low attrition and high customer loyalty scores. In his current role at Genpact, Kapil is responsible for managing delivery and driving growth in analytics, financial crime, business process management, finance and accounting research, and presentation services. He is also responsible for delivery for various analytics, research, AML processes supporting clients across corporate banking, commercial lending, capital markets, investment banking, private equity, and retail banking. Kapil has successfully established a profitable $11 MM P&L with a current team size of 275 + analysts from a small team of 2 analysts in a period of 9 years. Kapil has also worked at Citigroup, where he was a Cluster Manager for 3 branches of Citigroup consumer finance franchisee in Bangalore and an Assistant Manager in Treasury. He has a Masters in Financial Management (MBA in Finance) and a Bachelors of Commerce (Hons) from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. Kapil is also a Research Scientist and has a High School degree from Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School and attended Don Bosco School. Kapil has won the highest leadership honor, the Platinum Award, given to 40 best performers out of 42,000 employees in 2009. He is growth-focused and has managed one of the most complex and high-impact processes in structured finance deal underwriting. Kapil is also a practice leader for Credit Risk Smart Enterprise Processes (SEP), enabling Genpact to establish a value proposition in credit risk for its customers through innovation, best practices, demonstrating business impact, and leveraging SEP framework.
