Kapil Kaushik is an accomplished Vice President of Engineering with over 17 years of experience in the technology industry. Currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at Simpplr, he is responsible for driving the company's engineering efforts and delivering high-quality products. With a strong background in machine learning, AI, NLP, data warehousing, and infrastructure, Kapil has a proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions. Prior to Simpplr, Kapil served as the Vice President of Engineering and Product Innovation at Trilogy Innovations, where he led ML-driven innovation projects with high-impact business outcomes for products within the Trilogy/ESW Capital group of companies. He played a key role in automating the new product onboarding process for the support team and worked closely with CTOs across the globe during the acquisition process to evaluate technology stacks, identify cloud migration strategies, and create an AI/ML-driven technology roadmap for products post-acquisition. Kapil also worked with one of the largest cement manufacturers in Germany to reduce wastage in their plants by predicting the quality of free lime and suggesting corrective measures using explainable ML models from IoT sensor data. Before Trilogy Innovations, Kapil was the Sr. Director of Engineering at Delhivery, where he was responsible for building and scaling the company's technology infrastructure to enable movement of more than 30 million shipments monthly across 12,000 pin codes in India. He built a strong 100-member engineering team across various functions, including development, testing, and DevOps, and re-architected and transitioned the legacy monolithic app to 15+ microservices while simultaneously scaling it to handle more than 100 million events during the peak festive season. Kapil holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
