Kapil Pathak is an Applied Scientist at Amazon with a passion for learning and expertise in data science, deep learning, and natural language processing. With 2.45 years of relevant experience, he has worked on Multi-Coupons Personalisation, where his goal was to identify the (customer, product, coupon) tuple for targeted coupon distribution constrained on a fixed budget using uplift modeling. Prior to Amazon, Kapil worked at ZS Associates as a Data Science Associate Consultant, where he worked on advanced data science projects such as Relation Extraction and classification for diseases and genes in PubMed articles through knowledge graph. He also designed knowledge graph-based labeling functions for snorkel pipeline where weak supervision is employed with weak labels generated from snorkel's labeling functions. Before that, he had a research internship at IBM Research-India, where he worked on Faster decoding of GPT2 for language modeling. Kapil holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a minor in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN). He also attended Anant English School, Satara, for his primary education.
