Kapil S. is a highly experienced Senior Programmer Analyst with over 12 years of experience in developing and managing complex multi-threaded and scalable systems. He is an expert in C, C++/C++11/C++14, and has secondary skills in core Java and Python. He is proficient in working on various platforms including Linux (X86, X86 64bit), Unix, Windows, and Solaris (X86, X86 64bit, Sparc), and has worked with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. Kapil has a strong background in IoT, having worked on IoT gateways for both Cisco and Comcast, integrating IoTivity stack on XB3 and XB6, and communicating with the Cisco cloud. He is also experienced in the Library, Telecom, Security, EDA, and IoT domains, and has worked on various protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, KMIP, MARC, and OCF. Currently, Kapil is working at Cisco as a Senior Programmer Analyst, where he is responsible for designing, coding, and testing IoT gateways that allow devices to be managed using Cisco’s cloud. Prior to Cisco, he worked for Comcast and Cadence Design Systems, where he developed IoT devices for home automation and worked on the Allegro tool respectively. Kapil holds a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Bharati Vidyapeeth and completed his schooling from Modern Era Convent. He is skilled in C++, AWS, MySQL, Python, Java, and has experience in both frontend and backend development.
