Kapil Sinha is a highly experienced Project Manager at Schlumberger, currently managing the high-profile FFP ThruBit project and the HFE DnM software team. With over 21 years of relevant experience, he has a proven track record of leading engineering teams to develop and maintain complex software products that deliver data management services for the production domain. Kapil's latest achievement is enabling frontend-backend communication using RabbitMQ, which required him to learn new technologies such as Docker, MQTT, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, and .NET Core WebAPI. He is also leading the FFP ThruBit product towards the microservices architecture to align with the company's architecture, providing him with the opportunity to learn new technologies and multiple disciplines in software engineering. As the Project Manager for Avocet Mobile, Kapil led the team to create the first SIS mobile application aimed at easing the life of operators in entering production data. The team delivered much-needed performance improvements and incrementally delivered features in an agile manner to support pilots at different client locations. Performance improvements enabled them to acquire their first client for the product. Kapil's past experience also includes leading the engineering team to develop and maintain the Avocet platform, which enables Schlumberger to deliver data management services for the production domain. He overcame several challenges in this project, such as creating a self-organizing agile team, increasing the team's confidence to deal with a large legacy product, and collaborating better with the commercialization team to increase automation that results in higher agility. Technologies used in this project include C#, .NET, AngularJS, Web API, and JQuery. Kapil holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kanpur and completed his high school education from Sainik School Ghorakhal.
