Karan Hejmadi is a Full Stack Engineer and Product Designer with a passion for designing and building innovative products. He is proficient in React, Node.js, GraphQL, and Typescript, and has a keen eye for product design and attention to detail. With experience in several early-stage startups, Karan has had the opportunity to ideate and build products, as well as tackle challenging problems from the ground up in a fast-paced environment. At his university, Karan led the Apple Developer's Group, a team of over 40 developers working together to brainstorm ideas and collaborate to develop software solutions in the field of web, android, and iOS domains. He is currently working as a Full Stack Engineer at custiv, where he is responsible for designing and building scalable software solutions using his expertise in React, Node.js, and GraphQL. Karan has also worked as a Software Engineer at foraga, where he was part of the early engineering team. He developed the client-side application using React.js and Typescript using a micro-frontend architecture. He integrated GraphQL API on the client using Apollo Client and worked on paginated queries, chat functionalities, and search API. Karan has also worked at curious techlabs, where he managed the Streamer app that aims to solve healthcare problems using facial recognition. He translated requirements into UI prototypes and a web portal with React.js and built a REST API backend using Node.js. Karan holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer and Communication Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, with an expected graduation year of 2022. He is open to full-time/internship roles in the field of software engineering, both remote and in Bangalore.
