Karan Mehta is a skilled UI Developer with a passion for web technologies. With over 13 years of relevant experience, he has a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and JS, as well as proficiency in several programming languages and frameworks, including SASS, Nunjucks, PHP, and jQuery. Karan started his professional journey by teaching HTML and MS Office at an NGO, where he discovered his interest in web technologies. He then went on to build online presence for educational institutions and small businesses before landing his current role as a UI Developer with webengage, a product-based startup. In his current role, Karan is responsible for optimizing website performance, managing frontend and backend for WordPress-based websites, adding multilingual support on the website, maintaining the company's Magneto plugin, building email templates, converting Sketch design files to reusable HTML components, and SEO optimization. He also collaborates with design, SEO, and marketing teams. Prior to his current role, Karan served as a senior frontend developer at accelerate consulting, where he led the UI and frontend team, worked on frontend and backend for CMS such as WordPress, Drupal, and CrownPeak, and supported backward compatibility to IE8. He also worked as a web and graphic designer at Prosares Solutions, where he designed layouts and converted them into responsive HTML, designed and created themes for SharePoint and ASP.NET-based websites and web portals, and supported backward compatibility to IE7 and legacy browsers. Karan holds a diploma in Dot Net Technologies from NIIT and a bachelor's degree in Computer Application from LN College. His tech stack includes UI, frontend, web, PHP, backend, designer, dotNET, and ASP.NET. Karan's expertise in web technologies and his commitment to delivering high-quality work make him an asset to any team.
