Karan Narang is a highly skilled Project Control Engineer with over 6 years of experience in the construction industry. Currently, he is working for Bechtel Corporation, one of the largest engineering, construction, and project management companies in the world, where he is responsible for project controls engineering on the $9.7 billion Corpus Christi LNG facility owned by Cheniere. Karan's previous experience includes a 12-week internship at the project office of Stanford Adult Hospital, a $850 million Clark McCarthy JV in Palo Alto, California. During this internship, he was responsible for tracking and closing out change orders, facilitating weekly meetings and site inspections with owner’s rep for change order approval, creating punchlists for items like location sensors and acoustic ceiling tiles, and helping to manage and track installation of medical equipment. He also participated in Pull-Plan meetings as part of Lean Construction methodology. Before joining Bechtel, Karan worked as a Civil Structural Engineer at Bechtel, where he was responsible for taking care of structural activities such as design and analysis of access platforms, tank top platforms, steel-framed industrial buildings, agitator and rake supports, staircases, pipe racks, truss bridges, and technological structures for facilities like Pre desilication, Hydrate Settler, Carbonate Causticisation, Heat Exchanger, and more. He was involved in project management activities and was proficient in software such as STAAD-Pro, LIMCON, TEKLA, Smart Plant Review & Smart Plant 3D, and REVIT. Karan holds a Master's degree in Construction Management from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering. He also completed his schooling from Apeejay School. Karan's technical skills and relevant experience make him a valuable asset to any construction project.
