Karandeep Singh is a self-motivated Android Developer with over 5 years of experience in the field. He is currently working at CRED as an Android Developer. Karandeep has a passion for building products for the masses and is always up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies such as RxJava and MVP/MVVM design patterns. Before joining CRED, Karandeep worked at Swiggy as an SDE 2 and SDE 1. During his time at Swiggy, he worked on the payments stack in the consumer Android app and refactored/cleaned the legacy code. He also worked on improving the development experience for his team by adding/improving Gradle tasks, reducing build times, and automating tasks. Karandeep received an MVP award for coming up with the idea of creating an Indian flag tricolor polyline on the track screen and implementing it as well. He also proposed the idea of having food search using emojis and got it live with discussions with his manager and the product team. Karandeep implemented dynamic launcher icons for special occasions such as Christmas and New Year's. He worked on various parts of the app such as the home screen and implementing new dish search. Karandeep also wrote unit tests for all features. Karandeep holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Computer Applications & Management and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Sciences with Computer Science from Motilal Nehru College. He completed his high school education at Guru Harkrishan Public School, Vasant Vihar. Karandeep's technical skills include Android, Software Engineering, and Search. He has relevant experience of 5.44 years. Karandeep is a dedicated Android Developer who is always looking to improve his skills and build innovative products for users.
