Karen Avetisyan is a highly experienced Director of Engineering with a comprehensive background in software design and architecture, project management, agile methodologies, and telecommunications. With over 17 years of experience in the industry, Karen has developed a strong skill set in managing cross-functional teams, enabling customer support, and establishing processes for software development. As the current Engineering Manager at Groupon, Karen is responsible for leading a team of professionals and overseeing the development of software solutions. Prior to this, Karen held the role of Head of Engineering at Game On Media, where she was responsible for managing the daily activities of the engineering team and establishing processes for software development. Karen's extensive experience also includes working as a Software Engineering Manager at IBM, where she led a team of skilled professionals to deliver cutting-edge tapping solutions for mobile networks with embedded data analytic capabilities. In this role, Karen was responsible for managing daily activities, conducting research and investigations, and enabling IBM partnership with third-party vendors.
