Karen Ramos is a motivated sustainability and management graduate with a passion for consulting, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and sustainable development. She currently works at HSBC as an Engineering Practice and Developer Experience professional, where she leverages her skills and knowledge to drive innovation and growth in the company. Karen has over four years of relevant experience, having worked as a Business Development Specialist at Directi and as a Summer Intern at East African Distributors Limited. At Directi, she was responsible for identifying and segregating potential market segments, establishing contact with prospective clients, and creating and monitoring campaigns. She also demonstrated her data presentation and analytic skills by creating excel reports, monitoring individual campaign and advertiser statistics, and adjusting relevant parameters to consistently maximize revenue. At East African Distributors Limited, Karen demonstrated her quick understanding and competency in using Tally ERP 9.39 software, generating invoices, handling books of accounts, stock keeping, and tax payments. Karen is a lifelong learner who holds a Master of Science degree in Sustainability and Management from the University of Bath and a Bachelor of Management Studies degree from St. Xavier's College. She also has a Cambridge GCE A levels certification in Economics, Accounts, and Mathematics from Rainbow International School, Uganda, and an IGCSE certification in Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, ICT, Geography, French, and English (as a first language) from Aga Khan High School. Karen is a research scientist with a keen interest in technology and its applications in sustainability and management. She is a proactive problem-solver who is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow and develop her skills.
