Karthic P is an enthusiastic Software Engineer at Xilinx with a passion for exploring and improving software technology. Karthic's current role as a Software Engineer at Xilinx has allowed him to work on various projects, including implementing an ML prediction system to estimate runtime of IC designs run on Load Sharing Facility, where runtime is unavailable. He also scraped, cleaned, and transformed numerous IC design metrics to feed in as features, used Pandas and Numpy libraries for the same, and created custom grid-search, split-train-test algorithms to reduce misrepresentation of real-world data amongst train and test sets. Karthic has also charted scatter plots and histograms using Matplotlib library to visualize data and identify patterns to improve feature selection, achieving an accuracy of 89.75%, the best among multiple prediction systems modelled using Scikit-learn’s random forest regressor. Prior to his current role, Karthic worked as a Backend Developer Intern at Tagalys, where he built a web plugin for Shopify stores that syncs and updates thousands of products with the company's platform. He also developed a User-action-tracker to record users when products are viewed, added to cart, and bought for user/product analytics. Karthic holds a Bachelor of Technology in Biological Sciences and Bioengineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. His technical skills include Software Engineering, ML, test, Random Forest, Web, Search, Backend, Scikit, and Pandas. With 2.86 years of relevant experience, Karthic is a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer who is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow.
