Karthick Balakrishnan is a UX Technical Lead with over 11 years of experience in user research and analysis, interaction design, visual design, and usability testing. He is passionate about learning new technologies and implementing them to create simple and effective interfaces. Currently working at HCL as a Technical Lead for User Experience, Karthick has experience in Agile and Iterative processes. Karthick has worked with renowned organizations such as the World Bank Group and Caterpillar Inc, where he led teams and stakeholders through brainstorming sessions, requirements gathering, and business-logic definition while maintaining a user-centered design perspective. He has also designed new features and overhauled the visual design and product and marketing. Additionally, he has created hiring criteria and interview processes for design teams and advised on HR and hiring processes company-wide. Karthick has previously worked as a UXD Lead Engineer at Prodapt and a Senior UI UX Designer at Emerio. He has thorough knowledge and experience in planning, documenting, and leading interactive projects, assisting with information architecture and UX design for complex interactive projects, and defining digital strategies. He has also produced site maps, wireframes, prototypes, and UX requirements documentation. Karthick holds a Master's degree in Psychology and a Master of Computer Applications degree in Computer Science from the University of Madras. He also has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications from Periyar University and a Diploma in Information Technology from the Rajaji Polytechnic College in Salem. Karthick's technical skills include Senior Software Engineering, designing, research science, web, test, UI, and mobile. With 2.36 years of relevant experience, Karthick is a problem solver who can create differentiating experiences and processes through research, strategy, optimization, and transformation.
