Karthickeyan Narasimhan is a Lead Software Engineer at Freshworks Inc. with over 6 years of experience in building SaaS products. He practices modern DevOps standards religiously at work and is an AWS Certified Solutions Architect. Karthickeyan contributes to Open Source projects during his free time and talks about the latest breakthrough in FOSS, Web technology & cloud at various events and conferences. He has been invited as a speaker at many conferences in the USA, France, Singapore, Ukraine, and Vietnam. He is also a part of Mozilla’s Campus Advisory Committee which empowers students to contribute to FOSS projects. Currently pursuing his Master's in Computer Science (ML Specialization) from Georgia Tech, Karthickeyan has been part of "startup acquisition" as well as witnessed first-hand what it takes to go from a unicorn to IPO. He is currently working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Georgia Tech, where he is teaching CS 8803-O17: Global Entrepreneurship. Karthickeyan has worked with Freshworks as a Lead Software Engineer, where he mentored junior engineers & reviewed the quality of work, defined a roadmap for backend infra, worked on Quarterly AWS cost budget, was actively involved in system design for new & upcoming product features, enforced infra standards across the team, and implemented frameworks that improve Engineering productivity. He was also a Full Stack Web Developer at Zarget, which was acquired by Freshworks in Aug 2017. At Zarget, Karthickeyan was part of the engineering team responsible for building a world-class CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) suite, evaluating certain technologies and their feasibility, and delivering a complete solution that makes the customer understand better.
