Karthik Kalaga is a highly motivated Graduate Student at Johns Hopkins University, pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management (OR). He currently works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the university, where he assists professors with teaching and grading assignments. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, Karthik gained valuable work experience at Concis and Adani Power. At Concis, he worked as an Operations Analyst and was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company. At Adani Power, he worked as an Analyst Intern and was involved in various projects related to process flow, value stream mapping, and automation using Excel VBA and Macros. He also played a key role in determining plant capacity utilization and OEE and provided recommendations to improve productivity. Karthik holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from VIT and completed his schooling from Hiranandani Foundation School and The Shri Ram School. He is expected to complete his Master's degree in 2022. With 1.77 years of relevant experience, Karthik has developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills. He is proficient in Excel VBA and Macros and has experience in process flow, value stream mapping, and production planning. He is a quick learner and is always eager to take on new challenges. Karthik is a team player and enjoys collaborating with others to achieve common goals. He is passionate about using his skills and knowledge to make a positive impact in the industry and society.
