Karthik Ashokkumar is a Full Stack Engineer with over 4 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Backend, Mobile, and Web Applications. He is currently working as an SDE II at Mastercard and previously worked as a Software Engineer II at Finicity. Karthik has a strong background in Server Administration, Operating Systems, Terminal, SQL & NoSQL Databases. His technical expertise includes AWS, Integration, Redis, NodeJS, MongoDB, Typescript, MySQL, Postgres, Azure, PHP, iOS, Microservices, and UI. Karthik has worked with Actofit as a Senior Backend Engineer where he was responsible for deploying Backend & Web Applications on Amazon EC2 Instances using version control, process management & reverse proxy server. He improved the performance, security, and stability of existing servers and optimized APIs response time. Karthik also integrated in-house APIs for third-party services using secure authentication. He developed subscription management for all products which can be shared across multiple platforms. He also developed & integrated an application that can directly connect & communicate with ESSL Biometric Devices using the device commands that can sync device data and manage the device from anywhere. Karthik implemented secure two-factor authentication using 2FA via mobile/email by sending one-time passwords. He also developed a custom authentication module using Firebase SDK that can be accessed and integrated across multiple platforms & sending real-time in-app notifications using Firebase Cloud Messaging. Karthik has experience with puppeteer to capture the content of the webpage for generating and sharing PDF files from the server. Karthik started his career as a Trainee Software Engineer at Gametion, where he developed interactive, single-page web applications using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Material UI, jQuery, JSON, Angular 7, and integrating Restful APIs. He developed scalable Backend Application from scratch for a game utilizing Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Mongoose, Redis, JSON. Karthik wrote well-structured, modular, and asynchronous code using ES6 features. Karthik holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from SIES College and a Diploma of Education in Computer Engineering from Pillai College of Engineering. He also completed his Class X from SIES High School. Karthik has relevant experience of 5.20 years.
