Karthik Donthy is an experienced Senior Member of Technical Staff, QE with a strong background in the computer software industry. He is currently working as a Sr SDET at VMware, where he is responsible for enhancing automation framework capabilities, designing quality gates in CI/CD & automated pipeline, and automating the validation of MDM functionality of VMware airwatch apps. Karthik is a key member in guiding the team in usage of automation framework and debugging automation issues for the team. Karthik is skilled in a wide range of tools and technologies including Appium, Selenium, Jenkins, RubyMine, Test Automation, Mobile Applications, Python, nodeJS, and Ruby. He has also designed a device cloud solution [OpenSTF customization] and has experience working with Automation, Ruby, Watir, Seetest, Java, UIAutomator, Cucumber, BDD, MYSql, API's, GIT, Angular, C#, and JFrog. Prior to joining VMware, Karthik worked as a Member of Technical Staff, QE for VMware airwatch's Web and Mobile application software, where he automated battery consumption tool development for Android apps, automated the validation of MDM functionality of VMware airwatch apps, and triaged the automation results. He has also worked as a Senior Software Test Engineer for LG Mobile Software across various teams, including the Reliability and Root Cause Analysis Team, Market Quality Team, and Running Change Team. Karthik holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Karnataka State Open University, Mysore, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Bangalore University. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in DevOps from Caltech.
