Karthik Duddu is a highly skilled software engineer with a passion for designing, developing, and deploying software systems, particularly in the domain of machine learning. He is currently a student in the Master of Science in Computer Science program at Carnegie Mellon University, set to graduate in December 2019. With over 3 years of relevant experience, Karthik has worked on designing, implementing, and deploying large-scale data analytics frameworks, as well as systems in the domains of natural language processing and biomedical imaging. He has an impressive track record of success, having achieved a 10x reduction on benchmarks while working on the Napa team at Google, where he was responsible for designing and implementing a low-latency data ingestion subsystem for reducing time to queryability. Currently, Karthik is a Software Engineer (L4) at Google, working as part of the Natural Language Accelerated (NLX) team in the Research product area. He is highly proficient in a variety of tech stacks, including software engineering, research science, machine learning, and natural language processing. Karthik's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, as well as a Master of Science in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he maintained a 4.14/4.33 GPA. He also holds CBSE All India Senior Secondary Certificate and CBSE Secondary School Certificate with impressive scores.
