Karthik R is a seasoned Product Lead/Owner at AppsForBharat, a company that builds Retention-first products for the Bharat segment. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Karthik brings a good balance of technology, design and business sense to the table. Karthik's guiding philosophy is user-centric, design-driven, technology-enabled and data-backed. He is a long-distance marathoner, both physically and mentally, and pursues Product Management to work at the intersection of business, design and technology to push forward ideas in a sustainable manner. At AppsForBharat, Karthik owns the entire lifecycle of the product, from problem hypothesis to solution hypothesis, launch and further iterations. He is part of a lean team of Artists, Developers, Designers, Data Analysts, Content Writers, Operation Specialists and Product Managers, all focused on building Retention-first Products for Bharat. Karthik has previously worked as a Product Manager at Trell, India's top Lifestyle Community Commerce application built for Bharat Users. He worked on the consumption and creation side of the Trell application and owned/managed Sri Mandir application, a sister application of Trell built within the Experimentation Pod. Post the success of Sri Mandir as a Retention-first product built for the Bharat Users, Sri Mandir alongside the Experimentation Pod now operates as a separate entity - AppsForBharat. Karthik has also worked as a Product Manager at Cogoport, where he worked on CogoCare, an Omni-channel customer support software, CogoCredit, credit check, model, score, mapping, scoring for customers on their online freight marketplace, and a Data Analytics Platform, a single source of truth for Cogoport and any/all teams to make data-driven decisions, track progress, monitor and chase desired metrics. Karthik holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from IIT, and has expertise in product management, DevOps, frontend and backend technologies. Karthik is passionate about building value for users and creating sizeable impact in the lives of millions of Indians.
