Karthik Rameshkumar is a developer-first technology leader with expertise in cloud, DevOps, and DevTools. He is currently the Director of Field Services at GitHub, where he leads a team of over 40 customer experience engineers in the APAC West region. Karthik is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and has certifications from IIMBx, UC Berkeley, and Kyoto University in customer relationship management, culture of services, and business writing. Karthik has a proven track record of building and scaling teams in the technology industry. Prior to joining GitHub, he served as the Director of Global Head of Customer Experience at Hevo Data, where he built processes and frameworks to scale the team and operations. Before that, he founded Twilio's Global Support Delivery Center in Bengaluru and built a team of over 120 technical support engineers, personalized support engineers, and technical account managers in under six quarters, 100% remotely during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Karthik's leadership at Twilio resulted in exceptional results, including solving over 80K tickets in 2021 with an average CSAT of 4.47, above goal across all entitlements, and exceptional employee engagement survey results. He also focused on growing his team's people and had over six internal movements and 20 Twilions from the Early-In-Career Talent program. Karthik holds a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Anna University and a high school degree from Kendriya Vidyalaya Coimbatore. He is proficient in DevOps and has 6.95 years of relevant experience in the technology industry.
