Karthikeyan A is a highly experienced Senior Software Applications Engineer at Extreme Networks with over 17 years of relevant experience in the field. He has worked on datapath on different Broadcom networking switch family including katana, triumph2, trident2, trident3, and Jericho. Karthikeyan has also worked on software-based data path including OVS, Lagopus, and DPDK. He is well-versed in data path for Multicast technologies such as MOSPB, Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM), and Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP), routing (IPV4 and IPV6), tunnel (Shortest Path Bridging MAC (spbm), ipv6-in-ipv4), Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN), Layer 2 Virtual Service Network (L2VSN), Layer 3 Virtual Service Network (L3VSN), and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). Karthikeyan has extensive knowledge of high availability (HA) for switching and routing protocols and is proficient in control plane routing protocols such as Intermediate System to Intermediate System (ISIS), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). He has excellent programming knowledge in C and C++ and is hands-on with good data structure knowledge. Before joining Extreme Networks, Karthikeyan worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Alphion India Private Limited and Mastersys Tech Private Limited. He holds a Master's degree in Embedded System Technologies from the College of Engineering, Guindy.
