Karthikeyan Karunakaran is an experienced data scientist with over 6 years of relevant experience. Currently working as an Associate, Quant at CLSA, he specializes in electronic trading and execution. Prior to this, he has worked as a Quantitative Analyst at Citi and as an Analytics Engineering Specialist at General Electric. At General Electric, Karthikeyan was involved in several key projects, including project management for marketing analytics and developing entry strategy for GE Digital Coal. He also developed statistical models to gain market intelligence and was part of the satellite-based emissions prediction project. As a core team member of the Digital Twin project, he matched Indian power plants with their identical European twin to estimate the former's operational data for learning the customer needs. He also developed a flexibility analytics dashboard for targeted power plants in India and calculated their probability to face outage based upon their floor operational practices. Additionally, he developed a recommendation system for the engineering team to aid their efforts for Clean Coal COE - an initiative by GE Power. Karthikeyan holds a Masters degree in Applied Statistics & Analytics from the Indian Institute of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Anna University. He also completed his high school education in Science from NSNMHSS. Karthikeyan is proficient in several technologies and tools, including Python, machine learning, SQL, Naive Bayes, SVM, OpenCV, image processing, search, mobile, web, and infrastructure. He is a research scientist and has experience in developing recommendation systems. With his expertise in data science and analytics, Karthikeyan is a valuable asset to any organization.
