Karthikeyyan Subbiah is an experienced Controls Engineer with a passion for solving Automation challenges and improving productivity and reliability of industrial equipment. With over 5 years of relevant experience, he has a demonstrated history of working in the field of Industrial Automation and is skilled in programming PLCs, HMIs, Vision systems, and Robotics. Currently working as an Automation Engineer at Whirlpool, Karthikeyyan is part of the Assembly/Future Engineering team and has developed a Quality Inspection system using AI to enhance Dishwasher product quality. He has also integrated Computer vision and Machine Learning applications to enhance Operation Excellence and developed an IoT-based monitoring system for Predictive Analytics. Karthikeyyan is certified in AWS and is capable of configuring various AWS resources to launch his application. He has also developed OPC-UA Client/server service in C#, Python, and Java as part of the Industry 4.0 initiative. Prior to working at Whirlpool, Karthikeyyan worked as a Junior Controls Engineer at Tesla Gigafactory 1 and was responsible for developing SCADA screens using Ignition and troubleshooting equipment. Karthikeyyan holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SSN College of Engineering. He is proficient in AWS, Object detection, Computer Vision, AI, Object Detection, Research Scientist, ML, Python, Java, Image Processing, and test. Overall, Karthikeyyan is a highly skilled Controls Engineer with a passion for solving Automation challenges and improving productivity and reliability of industrial equipment.
