Kartik Nooney is an experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a passion for solving problems in the areas of Computer Vision and NLP. He currently works at aaic technologies where he has been involved in various projects that require the use of libraries such as OpenCV, NumPy, Scikit, and Python programming. He is also venturing into the area of Deep Learning applied to computer vision. Kartik is the brain behind an interesting project called “Judging a book by its cover”. This project is a mixture of machine learning and computer vision, where clicking an image of a book can extract all its details from Amazon and Goodreads. It is a modified version of a CBIR (Content Based Image Retrieval System) in which he implemented a custom 3 Level Image Matching System. Kartik has published a detailed tutorial/blog about this project. He has also worked on a project in text classification called “Journey to the center of Multi-Label classification”. This project is a mixture of machine learning and natural language processing, where he solves a Kaggle problem of multi-label classification using different approaches. He used libraries such as NLTK to extract features from the text data and Seaborn for data-visualization. Kartik has published a detailed tutorial/blog about this project. Before joining aaic technologies, Kartik worked at Deloitte as an Advisory Associate Solution Advisor, where he developed several tools using VB.Net, SAS, and Command Line tools to automate processes of various teams at Deloitte. He also developed analytics supporting the assessment of internal control risks associated with various business processes in the industry. He was responsible for detecting potential fraudulent entries and finding data patterns. Kartik has a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Osmania University and a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor's degree from P.G. College of Law, Basheerbagh. He has extensive experience in various technologies such as ML, Computer Vision, NLP, OpenCV, AI, Deep Learning, Scikit, AWS, Text Classification, Python, Seaborn, iOS, dotNET, Frontend, product manager, Docker, Postgres, BERT, Django, test, Redis, Javascript, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, Flask, Backend, Web, Software Engineer, and Android. Overall, he has 7.79 years of relevant experience.
