Kartik Shankar is a seasoned and highly energetic technology executive with over 19 years of experience in leading multi-disciplinary product and engineering teams to execute and deliver successfully on large-scale, complex enterprise projects and products. He is currently the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Jefferies, where he supports the firm-wide digitalization and transformation program and helps speed up high-quality releases at scale. Kartik has a proven track record in managing large-scale firm-wide programs and accountable for the execution and delivery of critical technology functions. He has managed geographically dispersed and multidisciplinary teams covering IT for multiple business units, including Research, IED, FID, and head of the digital assurance function for the entire firm-wide horizontal CRM and Client Intelligence function. Additionally, he has been responsible for vendor management, vendor and technology selection, technology and tooling strategy, location strategy, budget management, stakeholder reporting, risk management, people management, and program delivery. Before joining Jefferies, Kartik was the Global Head of Advisory Technology and Vice President of Engineering at Morgan Stanley, where he managed the technical delivery of geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary teams across all phases of the SDLC and covering IT for multiple business units. He has also been the Global Head of Client Intelligence & Research technology and Assurance teams, as well as the Regional Head of the Advisory Assurance teams.
