Kartik Singhal is a passionate software engineer with a focus on backend development. He loves problem-solving and has a particular interest in optimization. With almost 3 years of relevant experience, he has gained expertise in Java, JavaScript, SQL, Rest API, Spring Boot, JUnit, Microservice Architecture, and Design Patterns. He is also proficient in using tools such as Git, Grafana, Kibana, Elastic Search, Redis, Kubernetes, and Docker. Currently working as a Software Engineer 2 at Zeta, Kartik has made significant contributions to the company. He single-handedly optimized the application service, reducing the response times from 10+ seconds to 200-300 ms, and increasing the throughput of the service by more than 10X. He also implemented Redis caching and integrated the internal onboarding framework with their service. Additionally, he integrated an extension to their code, which added transformation logic of the response and masked required details using a JavaScript function. Before joining Zeta, Kartik worked at ACM Association for Computing Machinery as a Financial Supervisor, where he conducted workshops and programming contests in his college. He was also a Software Engineer Intern at Buyhatke, where he worked as a backend engineer for two months. During this time, he developed a data scrapping script to scrap data from Amazon's website and store it in a SQL database. He also created a decentralized crawler, a Chrome extension that crawls websites according to bandwidth issued by the user and rewards the user coins. Kartik holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. He also completed his Senior Secondary Education from Delhi Public School and Secondary Education from C.C.D.P.S.
