Kartik Singhal is a self-motivated Android engineer and programmer with over 3 years of experience working in young and fast-paced product startups. He is an avid learner with a passion for all things mobile and is always on the lookout for new and exciting opportunities. Kartik has a strong core skill set in object-oriented programming, multi-threading, data structures, and algorithms. He is also proficient in Android development using Kotlin, MVVM, Room DB, LiveData, Coroutines, Activity & Fragments, Services, Broadcast Receivers, XML, Firebase, CameraX, and DI with Koin. Additionally, he is experienced in using GIT for subversions. Currently, Kartik is working as an Android Developer at niyotail, where he is part of a team of two building features for 1K Kirana, a grocery ordering app for Tier 2 towns. He is responsible for writing clean code in 100% Kotlin using MVVM, single activity pattern, many Jetpack components, and best practices. He has implemented features such as Deep-linking, Barcode scan, Customer support, Referral, Ordering flows, Server-driven UI, etc. while parallelly ensuring good app vitals. He has also automated builds using CI/CD and is involved in the development of 1K internal apps as business requirements. Prior to niyotail, Kartik worked as an Android Developer at trell, where he was part of a small team of Mobile Application Development (Android). He worked closely with UX/UI designers, back-end, data, and product teams and was responsible for working on multiple UI refinements, feature additions for enhanced user experience, following best practices in Kotlin. He also helped in increasing stability and crash-free users' percentage to ~ 99%. He witnessed downloads rise from 1M to 10M+ on Playstore and 30x surge in user activity and worked at a hackathon pace to ensure that the app meets performance requirements and continually improved it based on reviews and analytics. Kartik has also worked as a Technology Intern at cars24, where he gained knowledge of the latest technologies and tools used for development. He provided documentation and support to the working team and learned how to contribute in an agile environment and its nuances.
