Kartik Tripathi is an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in Distributed Systems, Java, Apache Druid, Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark. He is currently working as a Software Engineer II at Google in the Home and Nest team. Prior to this, he was a Module Lead at the Data Engineering team at Directi (Media.net, the Contextual Advertising Platform), where he was responsible for the development and operations of logging infrastructure, data pipelines, real-time and batch data analytics. He was also the lead for the Realtime Data Pipeline at Media.net, mentoring a team of two software developers. During his time at Directi, Kartik played a key role in designing and implementing the backend architecture for the primary analytics platform in Media.net. He built data analysis libraries and APIs with algorithms to optimize and efficiently serve multiple user queries. He also designed and built ETL pipelines that automated the ingestion and integration of advertising Big Data from real-time (Kafka) and batch (Hadoop) streams using Lambda Architecture. Additionally, he was the primary developer for optimizing, deploying, and maintaining the Druid infrastructure. Before joining Directi, Kartik worked as an intern at Flipkart, where he redesigned the complete UI for the Field App and provided and implemented solutions for business requirements. He also proposed and implemented changes to make the existing alerting system more efficient in the new data center. With over seven years of relevant experience, Kartik is a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in dotNET, infra, Data Engineering, Backend, Big Data, ETL, Integration, UI, and Android. He is a strong engineering professional who is passionate about building scalable and efficient systems.
