Kartik Ukhalkar is an experienced product/software engineer with over 12 years of experience in the internet industry. He has a problem solver attitude and a craftsman approach to engineering. He is currently working as the Director of Product and Engineering at Udaan, a B2B commerce platform that aims to make business easy in India. In his current role, he leads a product from concept to productization, which involves product definition, design, validation, and implementation. Kartik has previously worked at Uber and Flipkart. At Uber, he was a senior software engineer and worked on growth product initiatives for the Indian market. He later led the architecture and design of the smallest and fastest version of the Uber app. At Flipkart, he joined the company in its early days and worked on various problems ranging from web frameworks to infrastructure services to platform products. He was a senior software engineer and owned the problem-solving, architecture design, and implementation of the metrics platform, configuration and deployments platform, and authentication and authorization services. Kartik has a B.E. (Hons.) in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and an HSC in Electronics from R.L.T. College of Science. His tech stack includes product management, software engineering, product design, web, and infra. He is constantly learning to think product and believes in making business easy in India.
