Kartik Verma is a Senior Software Engineer at Gojek, with over 4 years of relevant experience in the field. He has also led the initiative of implementing SLAs for the various microservices owned by Customer Platforms and resizing of infrastructure in Customer Platforms, which has decreased GCP billings by 40%. Kartik's past experiences include working as a Product Engineer at Gojek, where he worked on improving Product Discovery and Personalized Engagement services by adding international support. He also managed onboarding and learning plans for interns and new team members and successfully implemented a Tree-based Rule Engine for App Updater Service for various Gojek Mobile Apps, improving the service transaction time by 99.2%, from 15 ms to 0.12 ms. As a Google Summer of Code Developer at CloudCV, Kartik designed and implemented a robust pipeline for submission of prediction models in the form of Docker Images to be evaluated on Remote GPU Machines. This project is now used by Facebook AI Research for hosting Habitat Challenge on EvalAI. Kartik has a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai, along with a Higher Secondary Certificate in Science from Alpha Junior College of Science and Commerce and an Indian Certificate of Secondary Education from Cambridge School.
