Kartik Verma is a passionate innovator and software engineer with 3.95 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer (SDE 3) at Gojek, where he has designed and developed an open-source role-based identity and access management system, as well as an identity and access proxy for data platform resources and API endpoints. This resulted in improved average response time for authorization check by 99.16%, from 3 seconds to 25 ms, and has been open-sourced as Shield. He has also worked on implementing loyalty status sync between Gojek and Tokopedia after the GoTo merger and designed and implemented the GoClub loyalty program from scratch, including leading the initiative of various features, selecting the database, fraudulent prevention, setting up provisioning of infrastructure, and observability stack. Kartik is a skilled software engineer with expertise in distributed systems. He is interested in building performant, scalable, and resilient systems and is looking for opportunities where he can put his knowledge to practice. He has experience in implementing SLAs for the various microservices owned by customer platforms and resizing infrastructure in customer platforms, which decreased GCP billings by 40%.
