Kartik Vittal is a data science manager at Reality Labs, a division of Facebook/Meta. He has over 14 years of experience in analytics, with a focus on online advertising and e-commerce industries. Kartik is passionate about data and customer obsession, which has helped him excel in his career. Kartik's specialties include big data analytics, Tableau, SQL, Amazon Redshift, competitive intelligence, designing KPIs for new businesses, client/account management, business development (mining and farming), market research, HR - compensation & benefits benchmarking, location, and talent pool studies. Currently, Kartik is working on Facebook Portal, a hands-free video calling device. He has also launched the FB app on Jio Phone in India, which led to launching FB app on KaiOS (operating system) for emerging markets. In the past, Kartik has worked as a data science and analytics lead for consumer marketing at Glassdoor. He managed a team of data scientists and was responsible for driving analytics across paid marketing, PR, and engagement teams. He also developed email frequency models to identify non-engaging users and refined and delivered flagship lists like Best Places to Work, Highest Rated CEO's, etc. Kartik has a Master of Engineering Management degree from Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
