Kartikeya Pise is a dynamic Software Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar. He is currently working as an SDE at Dunzo, a company that provides delivery services to small and big businesses. Kartikeya is responsible for writing multi-threaded applications in Golang and Django, using Kubernetes as a container orchestration tool, and GCP as the primary cloud provider. He also uses pub/sub as a primary message broker to aid the internal processes. The infrastructure he works on is based on an event-driven microservice architecture. Before joining Dunzo, Kartikeya worked as a Software Developer at Amazon, where he was part of Project Santos, which helps merchants build their virtual shops. At Amazon, he shipped clean and maintainable code following SOLID design principles and strict TDD. He built key UI components and corresponding backend to enable customers to view products and add them to the cart. He implemented automatic rollback on failure, web-application firewall, end-to-end TLS termination to enhance security, logging, alarms on AWS CloudWatch in production, and throttling for backend services to prevent DOS attacks. He was listed in Santos wall of fame for resolving a lot of tickets in a short time span. Kartikeya has also worked as part of the Server Engineering team at Weathernews, where he created a web portal to visualize and download data stored across different servers for employees. He also created an employee management portal for viewing, uploading, and editing employee information. He improved the display speed of web-pages by optimizing data transfer from backhand to browser. He created a web portal for database synchronization between different systems on a click and a web portal for system admins enabling them to see and download structured user information. Kartikeya is a passionate programmer and a learning machine. He is a man of sheer will, extremely focused, high energy individual with great resilience and sound intellect. He likes to explore various schools of thought, which he picks up from western as well as eastern philosophical literature alike. He is an avid chess and badminton player and enjoys getting things done. He is proficient in AWS, Django, Golang, Kubernetes, SQL, MongoDB, Kafka, GCP, ECS, Typescript, Spring Boot, NoSQL, Postgres, Redis, Docker, Spring, Jenkins, and Search.
