Kas Williams is an experienced Digital & IoT Technical Product Manager currently working at Otis Elevator Co. With over 18 years of relevant experience, Kas has a proven track record of leading successful product development initiatives and managing cross-functional teams. In his current role, Kas is responsible for managing the life cycle of active and new products, providing product forecasts, communicating with manufacturing and engineering to manage part obsolescence, identifying and leading small development initiatives that add value to the product and increase sales and/or add RMR. He drives initiatives by working closely with sales on business cases, creating requirements, working closely with development on proof of concepts and new product development, and working closely with marketing on literature, press releases, and product promotion. Prior to his current role, Kas worked at assistrx as a Product Manager, where he managed customer deliverable solutions centered around improving patient time to therapy as well as the patient's journey while on prescribed drugs. He built and managed a cross-functional agile software development team comprised of over 50 software developers, business analysts, and quality assurance team members. He also built and documented new customer intake processes, while simultaneously shifting a cross-functional team from waterfall to agile development. Kas managed finances associated with third party development partners and internal resources, identified KPI's, and reported directly to C-level executives. Kas also worked at 3xlogic as a Global Product Manager, where he led many new product development initiatives that will live and be responsible for recurring revenue for many years within the product portfolios of 3xLOGIC, Sonitrol, and Stanley. He led the development team on delivering the business's first cloud-based video verification solutions that leverages other infrastructure that he managed and helped develop, including web services, mobile apps, and intrusion automation. This solution uniquely adds value to both new and existing customers. He worked with the team to deliver the business's first cloud-based access control solution that simplifies security and helps businesses standardize on field hardware. Kas also designed, led the development of, released, and maintained four iOS and Android mobile applications. He led multiple initiatives at once that required compliance certification through FCC, UL, and/or ULC. Kas holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from DeVry University. He has experience in product management, test, QA, microservices, software engineering, mobile, Android, iOS, web, and infra.
