Kashish Gupta is a highly motivated and skilled SDE Intern at Honeywell, with a major in Physics and a minor in Mathematics & Computing from IIT Kharagpur. Currently, he is working as a Data Science Intern at The University of Texas at Arlington, where he is focused on building new algorithms to deal with the class imbalance problem in Data Science. Kashish has implemented algorithms that use under-sampling with majority voting ensemble technique to improve metric scores. He has trained the new algorithm on 10 binary classified imbalanced datasets with 90% majority class and over 5k entries. He has obtained an average gain of 0.1 in Area under ROC curve and 0.3 in Recall, using Pandas, Numpy, and Scikit-learn. Kashish has previously worked as a Data Analytics Intern at the Indian School of Business, where he developed data acquisition techniques to extract verified Twitter handles and data for sentiment analysis. He scrapped web data and created databases using libraries like Pandas, Numpy, BeautifulSoup, and Selenium in Python. He also used Twint and Tweepy in Python to extract Twitter data, scrapped data for 8k entries, and saved 1000+ man-hours. Kashish was also selected for the Microsoft mentor-mentee program, through the test "Codess" conducted by Microsoft on a yearly basis. He built an unbeatable web-based Tic-Tac-Toe game powered by AI in collaboration with 4 to entertain astronauts. He used Minimax algorithm with Alpha-Beta pruning, program written in JavaScript, gripping UI using HTML and CSS. The game featured 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5 tic-tac-toe boards, 4 difficulty levels, Help! button, and multi-player option. Kashish has an Integrated Master of Science in Physics from IIT and a Science degree from Ryan International School, Kundanahalli, Bangalore. He has a relevant experience of 1.77 years and has expertise in Data Science, Software Engineering, Pandas, Scikit, Python, Sentiment Analysis, Web, Selenium, AI, test, Javascript, and UI.
